One of the best parts of last fall's Woodworking In America (2024) was showing off the Woodsmith mothership during the open house. I was able to connect with a lot of folk who watch the Woodsmith Shop TV show, listen to the ShopNotes Podcast or read the magazine. More importantly, you got to meet the folk who create all that and see how we work. It's a unique setup in the woodworking world. We design, build, write, draw, photograph, and record all in one building.
And we're doing it again.
Woodworking In America 2025 kicks off with (traditional?) open house. You'll be able to meet some of the presenters, tour our facility, check out projects from the magazine and show, ask questions and get excited for the main event Friday and Saturday. We'll provide refreshments and even some giveaways and special offers.
When the event starts on Friday, you'll have a jumpstart on getting to know other attendees, presenters, and the staff of the top woodworking brands.
That's it really — connection. Meeting other woodworkers, gathering to learn, and sharing ideas makes me a better woodworker. I'm hoping to find some project ideas, a jig or tool I need to make, and get inspired to try a new technique.
