ShopNotes Podcast 052 — Workshop Dust Collection

By: Phil Huber
Clean air, cleaner shop, and having fun in your workshop are all benefits of having a solid dust collection plan.

Dust collection doesn't necessarily require a major investment in equipment, piping, and planning. But you do need to do it. Besides the benefits of a more enjoyable space to work in, dust can lead to health and breathing problems down the road.

Since John, Logan, and Phil all have small shops, they tackle the issue in unique creative ways.

A shop vacuum is an ideal starting point for collecting dust. Both at the source and a cleanup tool.

This cleanup center offers a great place to start. For a larger setup, this option collects more dust but is still compact.

Both feature the Dust Deputy from Oneida.
