| In addition to its small size and light weight, the Ultra Quick Shot Sprayer is also easy to use — just fill it, prime it, and paint. |
The final tool to check out is one from Graco. This battery powered, airless sprayer is a recent addition to our finishing room here at Woodsmith, and it's pulled its weight on a couple projects already. Looking at the photo in the upper left, you may be able to see why.
With a weight of just 6.4 pounds (battery included), you'll hardly notice you're carrying this sprayer at all. Additionally, the reservoir is attached to the body itself, not the head, unlike many sprayers. This allows you to get an even coat sprayed into tight, interior corners.
Using the sprayer is easy — just fill the cup, prime by spraying it into a pail for ten seconds, then you're ready to go. Indeed, the ease of use is one of the key features. It works for paint and finish, and if you have multiple colors to work with for one project, cleaning out the sprayer and refilling it proves easy as well. All that's needed is to clean the filter, run the cleaning solution through, then wipe the reservoir dry.
PERFORMANCE.
So, how does this pintsized sprayer pan out with use? In my opinion, pretty good. Graco advertises that it can be adjusted from 100 to up to 2,000 PSI, resulting in a steady stream with little to no overspray, especially since there's no need to thin the paint or finish before use on an airless spayer like this model.
I've mentioned before that the tool is light, but the head itself weighs only a little under 13 ounces. This makes for an extremely maneuverable head, especially when you consider that you don't have to deal with the resevoir.
