Now that the base is complete, it's time to finish building the features that make this Adjustable Pull Saw Miter Box such a precise and versatile shop jig.
In this video, I install the indexing system that creates positive stops for both 45° miters and 90° crosscuts. Then I add the adjustable locking mechanism that lets me secure the turntable at virtually any angle in between. These simple features make it easy to set up accurate, repeatable cuts for everything from picture frames and trim to custom woodworking projects.
The final step is building the guide blocks that keep the Japanese pull saw perfectly aligned throughout each cut. Once everything is assembled, I demonstrate how the finished jig works and show just how clean and effortless the cuts can be. The combination of a sharp pull saw, solid workpiece support, and precision guides delivers results that are difficult to match with other methods for cutting small parts.
