ShopNotes Podcast 098 — Frankenstein Projects

By: Phil Huber
Some project designs are carefully structured ... most of ours take on a life of their own.

It's alive!

Two recent projects: one for Pop Wood, the other for Woodsmith highlight the way that projects meet the needs of the builder and must adapt as the construction proceeds.

ShopNotes podcast 098 Frankenstein Projects Logan wanted a grill cart. Something to hold his kamado-style grill, some charcoal, and other outdoor cooking essentials. By the time he started building, it grew to an outdoor island. In the process, he found a modular design that could suit almost any space.

ShopNotes podcast wall storage unit John needed a "small wall cabinet" to fulfill a requirement for Woodsmith magazine. His wall unit instead can be small or as large as you need. With plenty of options for customizing.

This episode explores how each project came to be.
