ShopNotes Podcast 038 — Anniversary Woodworking

By: Phil Huber
How woodworkers celebrate anniversaries.

One of the cast members has a big anniversary coming up. John, Logan, and Phil discuss what big tools or other shop gear would make the short list.

They also talk about how and what they've made for their spouses for anniversaries, birthdays and holidays.

One of Logan's gift ideas is a blade sharpener for his saw mill. You have heard he has a sawmill, right? (eyeroll) Anyway he has a trash can of blades that need new teeth. I ain't reaching in there.

Projects & Progress:

Logan: Getting back to his night stands. He's committed to showing off his work on series for Norwood mills. So it's time to get going ... again.

John: The bookcase is complete and sports an aged painted finish to go with it. Now he just needs to find a place for it to go. His next project is a desk to donate to at-home learners who need a place to study.

Phil: Patience is key for Phil. His glued up plywood panels have met with approval (thanks, John!). Now the itch to assemle has to be endured while components are prefinished. Once concern is how heavy this thing will be. So Phil is taking an artful approach to lightening some of the panels.

Any more ideas on what this will be?
