Socket Depth Gauge. Daniel Brandner of Eleva, WI didn’t have the right depth gauge and instead chose to use a metal socket. The socket served as a stop, while the position of the drill bit in the chuck fine-tuned the depth. |

Pocket Hole Dowels. Dan Martin of Galena, OH came up with a good way of keeping his pocket screw holes aligned during assembly. Clamping a dowel through the pilot hole helps to keep the workpieces butted properly together as he drives in the pocket screws. |

Coordinated Dust Collection. Mark Hopkins of Des Moines, IA, uses a splitter on his automated vacuum, allowing him to attach both a 5" sander and detail sander to the same vacuum and swap as needed. |
