Panel Pinchers During a panel glueup, you not only need to finagle bar clamps across the width, but you also have to attach F-clamps and cauls to keep the ends of the boards aligned. It can be stressful to make sure all the clamps are positioned right before the glue sets, so I made an easier solution.
These little “pinchers” fit around the joining ends of the boards. They have tapered slots, which pull the ends together as they’re tapped on. Make sure to add a layer of paste wax beforehand though so your pincers don’t end up joining the panel. -Eric Dixon Glendale, Arizona
Magnet Board.
Chris Hennessey of Des Moines, IA had a unique idea for sticking often-used items in an easy-to-access place. He screwed a thin sheet of steel to a piece of plywood attached to his shop wall, then attached the items using magnets. Nitrile gloves, small bags of hardware, and even his keys all fit the bill.

James Stein of Muskegon, MI uses rare earth magnets to keep the bars of his bar clamps off of the squeezeout during panel glueups. The thin magnets lift the bar just enough to still allow for solid clamping pressure, plus they stick right to the bar when it’s time to take the clamps off.
