In my shop, the router table sees a lot of use, especially for joinery. And, when it comes to joinery, a precise cut makes all the difference — which is why I whipped up this micro-adjustable fence.
The gist is this: the base assembly (which locks down to your router table) is connected to the fence assembly by a threaded knob. Adjusting that knob minutely shifts the fence position. The fence assembly pivots off a cut-off bolt that runs through the fence back and into the base. To secure its position, I added another knob (along with a washer) to the fence bottom which runs through a slot and into a threaded insert.

This fence will work on most router tables. For mine, I used a pair of lever knobs that fit into the slots in the table. However, a pair of clamps could be used to hold down the base just as well. -Phil Huber Urbandale, Iowa

| Twisting the knob in the adjustment block alters the distance between the base assembly and the fence assembly. Once you’ve dialed in the correct position, tighten it down with the second knob. |
