Assembly Helpers

By: Woodsmith staff
Some shop-made helping hands work in tandem with the T-track in your fence to alleviate some assembly woes.

It’s always nice to have an extra set of hands available when assembling a project. But that’s not always possible. So I recently added an accessory system to my router table that’s the next best thing. I made a set of four stop blocks that fit in the T-track of my router table fence.

A flange bolt and knob secure the blocks in place. A cleat on the back of the block keeps the edges square with the table. The blocks are great any time I need to keep a project square during assembly. Just position the blocks snug on each side of your workpieces and then tighten the knobs to secure them in place.
