Pegboard Drilling Guide.
Larry Darrelson, of Gulf Shores, AL prefers to use a drill press for shelf pin holes. For accurate spacing, he clamps a strip of pegboard to his fence. A dowel indexes each hole.
Easy Clamp Selection.
Bar clamp heads look the same no matter the length. To eliminate the frustration, Dan Martin of Galena, OH writes the length of the clamp on the top of the head. A silver-colored marker is the way to go here. It stands out from the black-painted clamp head and is easy to read from a distance.
Non-Stick Glueups.
Dan Martin of Galena, OH uses risers to support panel glueups. This gives him room to maneuver clamps without shifting the boards. He just doesn’t want the boards to stick to the risers. His solution is to apply a strip of packing tape to the top of the risers. Any glue flakes right off. When the tape gets too beat up, he can peel it off and add a fresh layer.
