(Sand)Paper Organizer. Claire Doyle of Ankeny, IA picked up a document organizer at a thrift store. Instead of papers, letters, and receipts, she uses it in the shop to organize sandpaper of all sorts: plain and adhesive-backed sheets, discs, and even belts fit inside. As a bonus, the top stores sanding drums.
Plans Clip. Jerry Smith of Bagley, MI cut a wood clothespin to hold plans and other documents on the pegboard wall in his shop. He drilled a hole in one side to accept a short length of a 1⁄4"-dia. joinery dowel. The dowel is a snug fit and allows him to place the pin anywhere on the pegboard.
Better Gripper. Ben Strano of Southbury, CT uses a large grout float as a push pad on the jointer, router table, and table saw. Floats are larger than typical woodworking push pads. He prefers the floats with red rubber pads as they have a good balance of grip and softness.
