Cutting Accurate Angles

By: Woodsmith staff
This miter saw jig makes quick work of acute angles.

I needed to cut an acute angle (less than 45°) on the end of a workpiece. So I built this simple miter saw jig. To use the jig, just lay it next to the blade and clamp it at one end to the saw fence. The clamp spaces along the angled edge work well for clamping the workpiece to the jig.

This jig is flat and uses cutouts to hold the clamps. With the clamps at a low profile, you won’t worry about bumping them during the cut.

Cutting angles on the miter saw is a lot safer with this jig to help me.
