Grab the object closest to us, give it two or three folds, and insert it right below the unit\u2019s feet. But it is what it is \u2014 just a quick fix. Most of the time, it doesn\u2019t even work. Even if it does, it\u2019s not a long-lasting solution \u2014 before you know it, a passer-by ends up knocking it and you\u2019re back to square one. So, what do you do?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If calling professional help isn\u2019t an option, you might want to consider the three methods we\u2019ve mentioned below. Let\u2019s dig in!<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"EVEN_OUT_YOUR_ADJUSTABLE_FURNITURE\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">EVEN OUT YOUR ADJUSTABLE FURNITURE<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Very few, meticulously-designed furniture items come with adjustable tops. If your uneven furniture is among those items, here are the steps you need to follow:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Invest in a level that allows you to ensure that your furniture is actually uneven. You may also be able to identify this by just taking a look. Sometimes, it might just be your floor that\u2019s inclined so inspect properly.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once you\u2019re sure that your furniture is uneven, look for L-key slots under your tabletop, cupboard, or whatever it is you need to balance.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019re unable to find the slot, try and take out the drawers or any detachable parts to see if you can.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Find the correct-sized L-key and rotate clockwise to lower the furniture. Shims are proper wooden wedges that can help you level out your furniture.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Start by using a level and find out if it indicates a slope.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can also check the extent of wobble to find a proper shim.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Place the shim right below the side you want to raise.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s best if the shim you\u2019re using is shaped like a wedge.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cut the excessive piece and you\u2019re done.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s a temporary fix but it works for furniture items that you don\u2019t have to move often.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"INSTALLING_ADJUSTABLE_FEET_OR_FURNITURE_LEVELERS\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">INSTALLING ADJUSTABLE FEET OR FURNITURE LEVELERS<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019re looking for a more sustainable solution, you may want to invest in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.woodsmith.com\/review\/furniture-level\/\">furniture levelers<\/a> or adjustable feet \u2014 what\u2019s the difference?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Well, if two to four feet-like supports below your cabinet don\u2019t ruin your furniture\u2019s aesthetics, you can purchase plastic cylindrical feet and install them right below your furniture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you think that\u2019s overkill, no worries. You can get furniture levelers \u2014 they look like screws but they\u2019re sturdier, wider, and feature a base that helps to support a unit. So if you want to level out your furniture using either of them, here\u2019s what you need to do:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Depending on the size of your unit, install at least two to four levelers or feet for the best results.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Find the side that needs to be raised up.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019re using a furniture leveler, get a small wood block,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.woodsmith.com\/review\/drill-bit\/\"> drill bit<\/a>, Allen key (L-key), and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.woodsmith.com\/review\/best-forstner-bit\/\">Forstner bit.<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Make a hole in the block, fit the furniture leveler and place it below the end that needs to be raised.
