DOOR FRAME<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

A door frame could be made out of wood, metal, or aluminum. Depending on the type of door you\u2019re going with. We\u2019re assuming it\u2019s a wooden frame for a wooden door \u2014 since they\u2019re the ones most frequently opted for.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So choose the door and door\u2019s frame before anything else. Once that\u2019s settled, you can move on to gathering the rest of the installation gear.<\/span><\/p>\n

GALVANIZED NAILS<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

Galvanized nails are just nails that are protected with a zinc coating which helps prevent rust and corrosion. You\u2019re going to need them in different lengths. Communicate the details of your project to your hardware store owner. They\u2019ll be able to recommend you the right-sized nails as per the thickness and size of your frame and door.<\/span><\/p>\n

SCREWS AND SCREWDRIVER<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

You\u2019re going to need your screws and screwdriver<\/a> to put the door\u2019s frame in its place. For a secure installation, it\u2019s best that you use screws at multiple spots. You can also use shims and use longer screws for a securer installation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

DOOR HINGES<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

Depending on the size of your door, you may have to purchase two to three door hinges<\/a>. You\u2019ll need screws to attach them to both the door and its frame. There are a couple of door hinges and each one has a different use \u2014 depending on how heavy the door is. You will also have to be mindful of the hinge\u2019s size.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
