Woven Seat Bench
This is the perfect project for trying your hand at mortise and tenon joinery - one of the strongest woodworking joints you can make for tables, chairs - and the stylish hallway bench you see here.
To make the project even more interesting, we decided to make a woven seat for the top, using a 2"-wide cotton webbing from Jontay Distributing. The sturdy webbing makes a super-comfortable seat for changing shoes or just taking a load off your feet.
Even with the finer details, the bench goes together surprisingly fast. Just two end frames, a seat and two stretchers and you’ll have a soft, comfortable seat for changing shoes or boots in the hall.
