Dovetail Chest
Early pioneers would have called this a six-board chest—a very common household item in the 1800s used for storing blankets, rugs, linens, and clothing.
This woodworking plan beautifully replicates the look and function of the original chest—with the same dovetail joinery that the pioneers would have used. Includes step-by-step instructions for cutting dovetails with a hand saw and chisel.
