Craftsman End Table6

This traditional Craftsman table features sturdy legs, a row of narrow spindles, and a dovetailed drawer. But there are also a couple of "secrets" worth a closer look.

Finish information: For the stain we used a mix of equal parts Seal-A-Cell Golden Oak and Honey Maple. The project was built with quartersawn white oak.

Wall Shelf16

Here's an elegant accent you can build in a weekend. It features a shelf for knickknacks and a row of drawers for a little extra storage space. Build a three-drawer or two-drawer version -- or both.

Illustration indicates using #8 1 1/4" woodscrews but they should be #8 3/4" woodscrews.

Using Metal Rules20

In the Woodsmith shop, we feel that a common tape measure just can't "measure up" to a high-quality metal rule. So we've come up with some techniques for using these rules accurately.

Drill Press Storage Cart24

This shop project rolls underneath a drill press table, turning this unused space into a storage center for drill bits, accessories, and more. Plus, there are built-in arms for supporting long pieces.

Tenon Jig30

At first glance, this looks like a run-of-the-mill tenon jig. But while it's easy to build, it features an indexing system that makes cutting ¼", 3/8", and ½" tenons almost automatic.

The diameter of screw holes in right side of top is shown as the same as on left side (5/16") but the ones along the right side should be 1/4"
