Roll-Around Tool Cart6

MDF-core plywood and a solid wood frame make this tool cart rigid and sturdy. And metal corners help protect it from dents and dings as you roll it around your shop or garage.

Storage Pedestal16

Dentil molding, a fluted column, and a marble top give this pedestal a classic look. And the hidden storage compartment inside makes this a practical and useful project as well.

Diagram for cutting piece D indicates you only need 4, but you need 8 total. To cut the additional 4, need 24" of 3/4" thick stock. Diagram for pieces F and L is missing. Need 1/2" x 5 1/2" - 60" cherry. Also there is a note about the cutting diagram: "1. Piece F and L and N are 1/2" pieces coming out of a 3/4" piece. 2. Because the builder may use a variety of combinations to suit their own taste -- using all CD cases, all shelves or a combination of cases and shelves, we couldn't draw an accurate cutting diagram. 3. We put most of the optional pieces in the same board, so whatever option the builder uses, he should have enough wood. 4. Mistake: Piece E should not be in diagram, and piece F can be fit in whereever you have room, depending on what options you pick."

Lap Desk24

If you've got a budding Rembrandt or Picasso in your home, here's a project you'll want to build. The inside of this desk holds a continuous roll of paper, so there's always a fresh "canvas." And a built-in handle makes it easy to carry the desk anywhere.

Decorative Splined Miters30

Don't let the name deceive you. Although splines are a great way to dress up a project, they also work well when it comes to strengthening a miter joint. And a splined miter joint is easy to make. All it takes is a simple jig and our step-by-step instructions.

Sharpening Jig32

A micro-adjusting feature and a gauge for setting up the bevel angle make this sharpening jig unique. But surprisingly, it's made almost entirely out of common hardware items you can find at most home centers.
